How much nitrous can you flow through a -4AN line?
I keep getting conflicting reports as to how much you can spray through a -4AN line. Some saying don't go past 150, while others say up to 400HP!
Vote in this poll with your opinion and please state any facts on systems pushing more than 150 through a -4AN line!
Thanks!

Like I told you in the other thread, it dependent on a few things, noid orifice size, line length, count of fittings like 90's and so on. The 400 hp thing is a complete straight shot bottle to noid. I have a dyno verified 285rwhp dry dual stage shot in a thread on this site. it had dual bottles "Y"ed to 4an line then "Y"ed again to two noids, on the outlet of the noids was "T" on each noid then to 4 nozzles. So total was 2-Y's, 2-Ts, and four nozzles and noids had like .078 orifice and line was like 12 feet long. Bottle pressure was like 1100psi. So as you can see there is no absolute answer, what i did and what Baked did are different results.
here is something I also do that will help eliminated any phase change and/or minimize flow restrictions below. Look at how much flow restriction is there on a stock fitting, once you have few of these kiss your flow capacity good by. All we have to do is simply back cut the fitting with a counter sink. You guys can trust me on this little trick, and it can be used to help your fuel systems out also.

a 4an hose technically can support 400hp but we have seen on multiple occasions where people run into volume issues above 250hp with a 4an hose and have had to switch to a 6an feed. On the flip side we have had customers spraying 300hp with no problems with a 4an hose where other have.

Sounds good. I went ahead and upgraded the bottle nut, main feed, and solenoid up to -6. Should be good to go! Now my only concern is going past 200 with a wet shot on a single nozzle!
