Default 2 heater pads

I have an NX 15lb bottle with a Dynotune bottle heater. I don't know if its because I have a large 15lb bottle, or what (this is my first nitrous kit), but it takes wwwaayyy too long to heat up. I need to figure something out. Can I wire a second heater pad on my kit? Anyone do this?

you can do that... but just make sure the amperage ratings are watched.

the dynotune heaters are 300 watts right? if so, you will NEED a second relay, wired in parallel to the other one.

So the 1 thermostat/pressure stat, will control both relays.

Ryan <-- i have wired this same setup, on a dual NX heater pads, on a NX Carbon Fiber bottle.

I gave up on waiting on bottle heaters a long time ago.
Now I just carry a torch with me. The bottle heater just keeps it hot after the torch gets done.

Man I certainly hope Darwin doesn't catch up to you.

A 15lb bottle will take a long time to heat up with one heater. Just do what Slow recommended and wire two of them in parallel. Or do what I do, use a Hot Box. But then that requires a generator or power at the track. Be prepared for your bottle warmers to wipe out your battery if you leave them unattended as well. They will draw a lot of current, especially when the car is not running.

will 2 heater pads make a noticeable difference?

perhaps I should downgrade to a 10lb bottle.... how much of a difference will that make?

I run a 100-150 wet shot... I am wondering if downgrading to a 10lb bottle is the way to go....

Hell I thought about swapping for 2lb bottles, just swap em after each run of eliminations! Easier to heat, and more consistent(for tuning purposes).
