depending on your wiring system, a hot wire set-up can add a couple to a few volts available to your fuel pump. racetronics, IIRC, says that this trick can add 15/20% more capacity to your existing or aftermarket pump. I run one on mine. I homemade it and have a fuel system upgrade write up for the vette and another from another site member for the F-bod and can be found via google and should add some insight on different mods.

If he was pushing the limits of the Walbro 255 and wanted a cheap way to get a little extra out of it then it might be worth it. On the other hand I think the stock lines would max out before the pump would.

From the mods he has listed he is nowhere near maxing one out though. I just don't see any need for it with his current setup.

I like my stuff done the best that can be done, and hot wire done at home cost me nothing. So now I have the best of the best that the intank pump can give. You add that 15% added capacity and you will less likely have a lean spike, and/or pressure fall off at highest demand.

having the reg and return at the rail goes a long way in helping the pressure drop at highest demand. I only see about 5psi drop at anytime and it wil recover back to 60psi.
