Default Whats the deal with back cyl starvation under a 150 shot?

So i was talking to my buddy who works at a performance shop the other day and he said that a 100 shot would be about as big as i could go without starving my back two cylinders. He said under a 150 shot, bad things would happen. My question is first of all, is he right? secondly, 50 - 150 shot seems to be the standard in relatively stock applications for these cars from what i have read. Thirdly, I have tried to take as many precautions as i could, ie racetronix w hotwire, BR7EF plugs and pull 6 degrees of timing. Even with those things done, and this being a wet kit, would my back cylinders be starved? Do i just spray it once and then check the plugs?

your buddy isa little off. the reason guys burn up 8 is not due to lack of fuel its the hot cyl on a ls1. now when you exceed what the stock rails can do at about 700fwhp the crossover pipe cannot flow enough. all small block chevy motors run hotter on the even side and the ls1 runs even hotter on 8

250 can be done on stock motors if you know what your doing. 150 is fine... read the plugs....

im spraying 200 though a wet nozzle on a stock bottom no issues yet, but car has been extensively dyno tuned for it.

dyno tunes are about 90% useless. no way they load a car like 8+seconds worth of lode like a run at the track...

I Agree. Even for my car, the dyno couldn't duplicate what the track does. So when you start changing the tune on the dyno, watch out. It may be a lot different on the track

Why not do a road tune to polish off a dyno tune? That puts the car under real world conditions with wind resistance, load, and air flow.

Plus its really, really fun!

I've seen blocks torn apart after a few 150 shots. I guess, just know what you are doing and make sure you aren't starving cylinders of fuel. I don't know a lot about nitrous, but i've seen this happen to others.

lack of fuel is way less important than to much timming...

What corrects the hot cylinder issue? Intake manifold, heads, fuel, tune??

with a stock pcm theres not much you can do other than tune off #8. you will be giving some up over individual cyl correction. IF you had a dp you can put 1-2 jet sizes lower in 8, 1 lower in 6 then add more timming and it will more than make up for the smaller jet on 6,8...
