Default Biggest shot on pump gas?

I know that pump gas is not the safest for any size nitrous shot. However, what would be the biggest shot ya'll would try on pump gas? 150 or 175 I would think would be the biggest shot I would try on 92 oct. This is of course taking 4 degs for every 100 shot and some TR6 plugs.

I would mix AV gas with it (1/3), or get N2O octane booster (I don't like this stuff though). Monitor KR and adjust accordingly, TR6 0.035-->0.038 ) If not good might have to go TR7's but I'll doubt it on 175.

I used TR6 @ .034, 92 pump, 175 NX wet single nozzle @ 1200ish psi, outta the hole! Felt good too. Now to get the NXL working again.

btw, did this on two different occasions, total of 7runs like that! Not that I recommend it though.

I would not use AV gas with nitrous. I have heard they are not compatible and you will blow your motor. Use race gas; not AV gas. I'm sure somebody else knows of this.

175 on pump gas isn't bad. Anyone else? I am sure that with that big of a shot that ya'll watch that A/F, try to keep it 11.0 or so.
I would also think that with a fogger it would be safer, due to more even cylinder disturbution. As opposed to the single nozzle that you did.

you basically have three tools you can use to increas the size of the shot on a given motor.
1) increased octane fuel
2) reduce timing
3) AF ratio..keep it rich to delay burn
If you stuck at 93 octane then you have to use the other two to safely spray large shots. And there will be a maximum. I know that I can spray to mid 600s rwhp using only timing retard and keeping it rich. I do have a 383 though.

I think 200 shot could be done. But I think youd be walking on eggshells. Of course this all depends on the mods you already have. What cam, heads, etc.

Mid 600s on pump gas is sweet. I'll say that first.
I am tring match the horsepower I made with my blower. I did 499rwhp on pump gas and a stock long block. Of course I believe that my torque will move up into the mid to high 500rwtq on the gas. I made 350rwhp on motor with no tuning. I believe that with tuning it should put me in the 370s.
I also believe that a 200 shot is possible on pump gas. Maybe stick you A/F at 11.0 and retard you timing 9 degress. I also see not a lot of problems on a 175 shot on pump gas. Just don't get stupid and greedy. What type of nitrous kit do you have 383LQ4SS? I am going to try a 175 shot on pump gas with a fogger setup on the street.

I definately think you can equal and exceed the HP level you had with your blower. Ill tell you another way to help out in making big HP on 93. Split up the nitrous hit into atleast two stages. Your biggest problems from detonation will likely happen at peak TQ. And with a single stage nitrous that will be as soon as you hit it on the lower rpms. Say you have a bolt on + cam motor making 375 rwhp then you spray a 175 shot at 3500 rpms. Tq will likely jump to well over 600 rwtq. Its at that point where detonation is likely to happen. Then as rpms increase and the cylinder fill of nitrous on each cycle lessons...the Tq begins to fall rapidly and HP doesnt climb much or platues. Really you should be able to run a 200 shot dual stage and be just as safe as a 150.

I was planning on a 2 stage setup. Maybe a 125 or 150 fogger and a 50 dry shot. I am hoping that it will last awhile on my current motor.
