Compression Ratios and Nitrous

Compression Ratios and Nitrous Would it be safe to run a 150 dry shot with a 11.1:1 - 11.5:1 compression ratio? The car will have forged pistons and rods, possibly stroked to a 383. If so, are there any parts or a kit that is safer than another? Thanks.

compression does not make a differents on the spray like it does on turbo and blower cars. the reason is because you are injecting a very cold mixture of fuel and oxygen, thanks to the N2O. this in turn releases tons of heat from the combustion chamber before it starts the burning process. thus less of a chance for detonation to happen giving that your mixture is correct. if your mixture is too lean, you will cause severe detonation regardless of your compression rato due to the pressence of pure oxygen. this is why i like N2O over FI cars. you dont have to suffer any HP because of low compression ratios, having to pull another belt, or having a hugh restriction in the exhaust. that way your car is still fast NA, not like a FI.
