I know that if you get enough traction that spraying in 1st gear is fine and 2nd and 3rd as well but is spraying in 4th or 5th going to be something that most people dont do or am I just thinking to much? I just think that it would seem very stressfull on the engine since it dont seem to rpm as fast once you hit 4th or 5th.

yeah what shizz said..... i spray in all three gears..... I only have three.....
if you're going into 5th you're either at the bonneville salt flats or you have the wrong rear end gears.....
take those 5.88's out and put in some 3.73's... LOL....

THe way to pic your gear is ot figure out what mpoh in the 1/4 you will or want to run. figure out what tire your going to run. figure out your peak hp. gear it to go threw the traps at or as close to peak as possible. with 410's and a 28" tire its going to be hauling if your running 7000 or so. so i doubt 5th will be needed and 4.56 will probably work well.

I ran 4:56 all mtor with a 27" when i was M6 and it ran really well. With my M6 and 27" tires on nitrous i run 4:10 and am out of gear again. i trapped 117 on motor and 132 on nitrous. There is a gauge for you.

sounds like it really dont matter what gear as long as the rpm's are above 3k and ive got road in front of me. Are you guys using buttons, rpm window switch, and throttle switch?
