freeze filling
its hard as hell to find a place to get bottles filled around here
ive heard from a reliable source (plus reading on here) that freeze filling works great
mother bottle to ball valve to filter to bottle...digital scale...
now you have to freeze bottle, and heat up mother bottle...propane heater to get pressure up on mother bottle...
i was told 160* using laser on mother bottle is around 1800-2000psi so itll suck right in to small bottle
sound right?
i could save SO much $

no need to heat the mother bottle really...
or use the ball valve...
i just have the mother, to a filter, to the 10lb ones. freeze the small one and open both valves, and there ya go!

Syphoning sucks. I used to have to get my bottle filled that way and it is a pain in the ***! You don't have to freeze it either the refridgerator gets it cold enough. But that means people who want to get filled up either clear out half there food(did this a time or two and the old lady wasn't happy) or drop it off and wait a few hours for you to cool and fill the bottle. Not worth it in my opinion. There are 2 or 3 other shops around here plus at the track that I can get filled and they all have pumps.
Syphoning works but more hassle then it is worth in my opinon.

Buying nitrous in bulk around here isnt some $2/lb deal either. I can hardly find it under $4.
I have an unused freezer and researched all pricing. Just trying to get everything squared away with XMAS before I make any purchases. Plus I need to confirm pricing on the nitrous.

ive never heated up my mother bottle and iy has alway sworked great for me. maybe when the mother starts getting low, you have to freeze the smaller one twice to get the full 9 or 10 lbs. but i dont like the idea of heating the mother bottle

I have a pump station and still freeze my bottles when I can. They fill so much faster that way. You dont have to freeze them either, you can use a 5 gallon bucket and ice if you dont a freezer to use, ice is cheap. Like said before you dont have to heat your mother bottle.

I had a fill station and sold it because I wasn't selling any nitrous but now regret it.
I always froze the bottles because it made it soo much easier to fill them, even with the pump.
I may get back into filling bottles, but this time I am going to gravity feed them. No need to heat the mother bottle, just make sure the smaller bottle is COLD.

Use a ball valve and put it at the end of your supply line closest to the smaller bottle. If not, everytime you shut both bottles off, you are going to waste the nitrous in the line when you disconnect it.
