How much N20? L92 HEAD 6.0L BLOCK 402?
How much nitrous would a L92 headed 6.0L block ( with a 4.0" crank) take before we get into lifting the head and gasket issues? I'm building a 12:1 400 cube motor, solid roller, carb intake, looking for a very low 10/high 9 in a 3200lbs G-body N/A and then shoot it into the high 8's possibly! I've heard these heads have deck thickness issues when it comes to boost/nitrous, and I'm wondering what my limit will be? Is there a factory head with a thicker deck out there(LSX/LS3/L92)? Trying to stay away from aftermarket heads, atleast till I can reset the budget!

My personal experience with this has been with a cast iron block/L92's/mls gaskets that I built last year for a local racer. He ran it on the dyno with a 325 shot on marginal gas, with over 100 F ambient temp. He nipped a couple a plugs but no signs of any head lifting or head gasket leaks. Ive heard of people lifting these heads, but this guy is pushing a 3800 lb street car into the nines without any issues.
