Default 150 shot on stock fuel system?

As the title states can I run a wet 150 shot on the stock fuel system? What about a 125?

As long as your stocker is in good shape, youll be fine, search around for some other safety stuff too if your new to the spray. ie: plugs, window switch, fpss, tune.

I'd be interested in what people have to say about timing. If the OP does run that big of a shot w/out pulling timing (not saying that you're not going to) what is the drawback?

Okay cool, I have the TR6's and window switch already I've been spraying a 75 shot every now and then. I just put my stall in and getting ready to have it tuned just wanted to make sure it would be safe to tune it to a 150.

Address your fuel system, timing and especially ditch the tr6s if you're stepping up to 125-150 shot.

I think you also need to consider what kind of load the fuel pump is under while you are not spraying. then obviously what load its under while spraying. a wideband will tell you if you run out of fuel. if you up the jets and its still leaning out, or starting to miss, you know youre out of pump.

You started another war ha. The tr6 is a projected plug. Many people will claim projected plug= a no no for nitrous. How often to you plan on spraying?

I think you will be fine. Theres tons of people that are running tr6's on a nitrous setup without any problems. The only thing I don't know is if you stepping up to a 150 shot will have negative consequences on those plugs. What I've heard, the bigger the shot-stay away from projected plugs.

I wouldn't... Spraying that much, the initial hit will starve the fuel system and you could go lean... I wouldn't go over a 100 shot on a stock fuel pump... Many people do it repeatidly, it's a whole lot safer to upgrade.

I ran a 150 shot on a stock fuel system and Tr6s and it was fine. But if you have the cash to spend, get a racetronix kit. That way youll have a nice safetly net and its already done and out of the way. The TrR6s worked fine I guess, but alot of people are moving to non projector tip plugs. So if they work better, go for it.

Ditch the TR6s for BP7EFs plugs on the 150. I toasted 3 TRSs on a 150 and got lucky that I didn`t do further engine damage. And I wouldn`t suggest going bigger than a 125 on the stock pump. If you want a 150 or larger run an in-line booster pump or a racetronix tank pump. And use 93 oct. and get a good tune (12.0 AFR & retard the timing a bit). Better to be safe than sorry.

I also thought that tr6s were the plugs to use at one time, but I learned the hard way, along with others. Do a search, you'll see that the majority of blown motors were using the wrong plugs (infamous tr6s) for starters, along with other reasons (fuel, timing, etc).

You need to hook up a pressure gauge to your fuel line to see where you're at on the bottle.

Subscribed.

I'm thinking of doing a 150 shot also but still on stock pump and injectors. I've seen a few do it but like some said, it's not that safe. I just bought bigger injectors and a racetronix soon, then have it dialed in.

When u go to tune it you should at least get bigger injectors and change the plugs.

injectors don't matter for a wet kit fyi

I wouldn't chance it personally, id put the racetronix kit in it.

Yeah I hear ya. I would rather just do a pump, but my injectors are almost pushing max duty cycle n/a. But to the OP let's see some numbers when it's tuned!

I wouldn't chance it personally but to each his own. I would throw a racetronix kit in there. And i guess i just learned a thing or 2 about running TR6's with nitrous.......as I thought they were good as well.
