bad bad bad n2o explosion
Also one reason, that I never put a fresh bottle in the car and open it up, before the car is running. It 100% prevents the possibility of a leaky nitrous solenoid from filling the intake with nitrous and me starting the car in that state.
I also, purge the line after the run is done to relieve any pressure from the line now as well.
When I get the car back together, I'm adding another safety feature, a 1/4 tueb ball valve. I'll put a pressure ga, a good liquid filled one that will attach to the bottle nut with a 1/4 turn on it. This way I can open the valve on the bottle, and have an easy 1/4 turn valve I can reach over and close. This will make shutting the nitrous flow off quick and easy, also a nice safety feature if something like that ever happened, before I bail out of the car shoudl it ever catch fire, I'll hit the 1/4 turn so I know the nitrous won't be feeding the fire.
I'm also, ditching the stock fuel tank in favor fo a small 3 gallon one too. This way, there's a MAX of 3 gallons of fuel (still alot I know, but alot less then the 8 or 9 I could have in the stock tank) so if there was ever a fire, the total amount of burnable fuel will be less.

That one doesnt hold a candle to Chuck Ulsch's explosion a couple years ago. I still shake my head at this one. Solenoid hung wide open.

LOL I walked right into that one

I just figured my Texas Speed 408 with 467 R.W.H.P. is good enough not to use nitrous
