How much spray on TSP 408ci?

Here are the problems I see at first glance:

You don't know specifically what the bottom end was built to take.
You don't understand the importance of a proper plug in a nitrous app.
Your NA tune is not very good if the AFR's you state are correct. That should be fixed first
I'm willing to bet you have no idea what the spark or fueling tables look like in your "boost/juice" tune.



Feel free to take or leave my advice.
can i call dibs on another piston prferably #7 or 8,we tried guys but it looks like he is dead set on spraying this guy

i just hope he has enough injector left with that 408

Wow. Talk about switching gears.

I do no what the motor was built for.

10.5 comp. Diamond cut pistons. Boost juice rings
Eagle rods.
Etc.

I tuned it using efi live about a year ago. Na an boost
I don't remember the tables but

Na was 553whp 516trq
11.8-12.5 afr
Then we pulled some timing and added fuel. 516whp 478trq
10.0-11.0 afr

That's how its tuned now. The motor has never seen boost or juice. I wanted it to break in. Also I kept the lower tune cause its a better breakin a motor in type of tune. I was told
Its been about 10k to 15k miles since its startup.


I no to run juice its recommended to go colder on plugs etc I'm just simply asking if I should take the hour or so and 20 bucks to change plugs to only spray 100 shot a few runs 1 nite.

Like with any boost or juice its best to tune it with it. I was just asking the best setup and amount of shot to use.

You'll be fine just take the tr55's out and cut the straps off before you spray it.
That way they dont go thru your motor when you do. LOL

I have a hard time believing the bottom end was built for boost (usually lower compression) and it still makes 516whp.

The word is "KNOW" not "NO"...

You seem set on doing this even though you don't know enough about what you're doing... Please take my advice and contact a reputable shop/tuner before you try to spray this thing.

you have heard the same thing about ten times now,i would definitely change the plugs at least
it sounds like you are set in your ways buddy so just go do it,let us know how it goes

How fast is it on motor?

Any good running 408 should beat those cars you listed without nitrous.

dont worry about it man,im sure you will give them a good run for their money as it is if not win

and then you can say you did it on all motor baby,if they do win take the loss with dignity and go get your car setup for the juice and then see what happens

make them run from a dig,i would say that is probably your best chance

From a dig? I can't catch traction ! Lol. I would think a 30 or 40 roll would be a good race. I just put all new oil. Trans. Motor. Rear end. I'm debating open headers and race gas. If it will even do or help in anyway.

Recently though I freakin hit a big rock at nite of course and really tweaked my bmr extreme torque bar and its clucking now anfter every bump and makin bad noises lol. Prolly goin to just take that off. My chromoly 1khp driveshaft an s60 rear will be fine right? Lol sorry for all the questions.

Race gas will slow you down unless you absolutely need it (you dont).

dont drive it without a torque arm if that is what you are asking

if that supra has a decent turbo and is making the power he claims he should eat u up from a roll

take off. Straighten. Fix and put back on. Lol. Sorry for the mix up. Lol. My friend thought I should take it off and leave it. Hence the reason why I asked if I could run without it

Glad to see you make a better decision.. That could have ended up being one of the most expensive 1 race nights you had. Besides its always better to fender someone so you can call them back for a money race.. There is no money in just embarrising them. No mater what just always try to when by a fender.

Update!

Friday afternoon my clutch slave went out! I got stuck in a parking lot lol! We dropped my the trans an driveshaft and replaced it fro 6pm to 3am in a hospital parking lot!! Lol. But we still had to tow it home at 330am lol had work at 5 haha. Wen we plugged my steel braided clutch line it was leaking like a sive! An found out that we need an new oring lol. Hey it was a long nite an we forgot. So I went to the store an bought the tool to pop off the connection yesterday and caught up with some sleep. Today when I get off were goin to finish her up and put trans oil and bleed the clutch. Cause tonight were spoused to settle this! Lol. What a weekend so far just hope it finishes good with a victory tonight. I will let you all no what happens. Thanks guys!
