Default What to do?

Ok i am looking at building another motor. What would be the best combo for the money... And that will hold a 300 shot..

ls1 347 stock crank, H beam rods, and forged pistons.

ls1 383 forged bottom end

OR WILL THIS WORK...

5.3 IRON BLOCK bored to a 347 ls1 crank, H beam rods, and forged pistons.

5.3 IRON BLOCK bored and stroked to a 383 forged bottom end..

Honestly, I am going to move this to the nitrous section just because it seems like that will be the core for your build.

What happened to your other motor?

With the 383 you will be able to hit it a little harder but any of the options that you listed would work fine if built right...

Broke a rod.. It went 5.91 last weekend on a shitty track. Did not change anything and this past weekend and well here is a vid... I knew it was just a matter of time with all the stock parts in bottom.

I would really like to stay with the stock cubes for now and just see what it will do hitting it a little harder.. The vid is leaving on a 150 shot..

You could buy my whole motor and probably spend no more $... and if you went 5.9x with a stock internal setup you'll be going a TON faster with this under the hood.

Bigger ci then you're planning, but it's a very solid piece.

Took my 3350 lb car to 9.50 on a 1.4 60 foot, with a way conservative tuneup.

250 hit fogger on this motor will probably put you past what a 10 pt cage is good for if your mustang is in the typical 2700 lb raceweight range.
