i was thinking the same thing about the pump, it should be able to support a lower psi setup! lord knows i had plenty of fuel all year long when spraying the car.

great job as well! your write up has me even considering it! hell i alredy have a pump and probably half the fittings and all the fuel line i would need, and it would for sure save me a few pounds!

I know that my black pump with a return line was falling on it's face at 9.5 PSI with the return line, a .031 restrictor on a 300 shot. That's why I adjusted the restrictor to a .018. I dead headed my pump as an experiment with the 300 shot and it did fatten right up. I'll have more info on those settings later this year, but overall it should work fine. Also, I failed to mention that I have my restrictor on the tank side of the return line. That allows for that 5" section of -4 line to prefill with air rather then trying to get the air to go out through a restrictor into the -4 line to the tank. Seems like it would let the air up a little quicker before the fuel would get to the restrictor.

Nice stuff. What about the nx direct port injector kit? I think it runs fuel pressure at 45psi. Is there a difference between the two? That is a very nice setup!!

are you talking about the nxl?

dont think it will work on that one since the injectors and nitrous run off the same rail. kinda defeats the purpose of the stand alone system.

Exactly. The standalone writeup doesn't take the NXL into account but I believe it can be applied to the NOSsle setup because it uses a regular solenoid instead of an integrated rail.

Derty:

After reading numerous posts, yours put me over the top

Purchased NOS Nozzle system, 1 gal fuel cell, progressive controller....starting with 175 shot.

Cobralinks (aka Dr. Phil) is going to assist on the install and IAT sensor set-up.

The C5 won't have the purdy wheel standing starts...

but it will get down the track.

thanks for great info....

Ok I have a couple of questions, I'm running a setup just like this on my 03 cobra but with a holley fuel pump at 9 psi i'm still waiting on some parts but it;'s the nozzle system that goes under the injectors. Now my worry is my car is supercharged and my thoughts were the pressure after the blower would overtake the pressure from the fuel pump does this make any sense ?
