Gauge in drivers vent
What do most use to mount a gauge in the drivers vent? Any sponsors sell a plate that fits snug and will hold a standar 2 1/16 gauge?

I had a gauge inside the vent for the longest time. You have to cut off the threaded rods off the back of the gauge. Then there was three to four layers of back to back double sided tape attached to the bottom of the gauge and stuck to the vent. If you mount it right you can acutally close the vent and you will not be able to see it. Down fall to it was in the Florida heat you need that extra vent to keep cool.

Iv got a 10 point cage in my car so neither of the outer vents have ducting anymore. Im looking for a plate to take the place of the vent to mount my gauge, dont care for it to be hidden I think the 2 10lb bottles in the back kinda give me away lol

I think the larger gauges fit (2 5/8" ???).
You can get a someone with a Laser Engraver (local sign maker or awards/trophy store) to make a bushing for the guage, just a 2" hole for a 2 1/16" gauge with what ever the diameter is of vent. I made one for someone but their measurements were off on the vent size.
Something like below, have them use 1/8" thick material. Obviously the OD of the one below is way to big. Get them to use scrap material and would it would take em probably less than 10 minutes to make.

6LE sells this kind, they have it in 1 2 3 or 4 gauge panels. I had to epoxy it in place. I went with the 4 gauge one. the only thing i dont like is u have to shave a little material off the gauge bezels to fit them all in. But if you get the 1 2 or 3 gauge they will fit with no modification. http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...cPath=21_37_56
This one i just cut some ABS plastic to fit in the vent. Its a tight fit not attatched in any way. then used a 2" hole saw and the gauge fit in perfectly
