Default recert. a bottle and self filling?

heres the deal i can get a barley used bottle for $50 with brackets and extra lines but the problem is it sat for so long it is out of date i went to airgas two weeks ago to find out about recertifying it and they dont do it at that location so they gave me a number to the district office so i could talk to them. talked to a guy there that said he would get back to me over a week and a half ago still havent heard anything so i have to find somewhere else i guess.

second i was reading on here about filling my own bottles which would save me a 20min drive and hopefully some money. again i went to airgas and it will cost me $225 for a 200lbs bottle(56lbs nitrous) which roughly comes out to $4.01 a pound without any of the other supplies or the rental fee. that is $.50 more than i can get my bottle filled for.

so here is my question does anyone know where i can get a bottle recertified at and how can i get a mother bottle cheaper so i can save time and money.

also i can get a new bottle for 125 through a shop that is made by cold fusion am i better off spending the 125 or tryin to get the old one recertified

unless the brackets are billet i would just save my money and get a new bottle or newer style used

youll have $85 in an outdated bottle so spend the other 40 and get a new one
