Default which is safer?

would it be safer to run a 150 wet shot through a NOS plate (current setup), or to run a 100 shot wet through the plate and then spray a 50 shot through a halo ring? i have a water/meth kit and a racetronix pump with hotwire, stock internals with bolt ons.

I wouldnt say either would be any "safer", but 150 through the plate would be the best option.

Neither configuration is inherently safer. Whether you are concerned about your own safety or your engine’s safety, the particular configuration is much less important than the quality of the installation and the procedures you follow. A very complex system, if properly installed and operated, is safer than a simple system carelessly installed or operated.

I agree with camscam. All else equal, simpler is better.

I would run the 150hp shot on the plate only and not worry about putting a second stage on the car.

A single stage is obviously a lot less complicated. Is safety the only reason why you're interested in splitting it up or is traction an issue too?

The simplest you can keep it in conjuction with a quality installation and parts will net the best results. If you are not boosted I would ditch the water meth kit and simply just tune in the nitrous. In all honesty if the car is a fairly mild set up you should be able to plant a 15o on a single stage. If not some money may be better addressed in suspension and tire.

thanks to all, i think i'll just stick with the plate only. and dave, i got the meth kit because it's my only car and i just wanted to stay as safe a possible because there isn't a tuner remotely close to me.
