Default 382 Progress

Progress! Alas slow progress, but progress none da less...Hope to have this in and running in the Vert Mid June...

With some luck Cartek will have it in the car and running for shakedown runs 4-5 June @ Englishtown N.J.

Wont be worried about the stock shortblock no-mo. Sticking with the LS6 intake for now so I can use Daves Plate. Perhaps next year upgrade to a Fast 92 and new Plate system. Plan on staying two stage Dry/Wet. Goals Mid to high 10's on spray, Mid 11's NA. Tuned for the crappy 91 Oct we have in New England.

Yep lesson learned there...trailer the car to the track when its 106 miles away! Thanks for the recovery effort on that late Friday nite BTW the trailer got alot done to it with all the downtime...bearing tires and fenders LOL. For those that did not know Oct 30th, I spun connecting rod bearings on #1 and #2 and broke down leaving the track Vinny helped me out (he is fairly local to the track)...

The compression ratio is around 10.9 to 11.2 to 1 because of the 91 OCT we are limited to up in Maine...also have to make it wifeproof...some reason she loves driving the car when I am Offshore

Trick Flow® GenX™ 225 cylinder feature refined combustion chambers to retain stock compression ratios, fully CNC-machined and bowl-blended combustion chambers, 225 CNC-ported intake and 80cc exhaust runners for maximum airflow. Lightweight stainless steel valves, 1.300 in. diameter high lift valve springs, titanium retainers, and ductile iron valve seats.

According to Cartek I was not able to use reuse the ARP LS1 Head bolts, needed to go w/ the ARP LS2 headbolts.

Still slow progress, getting parts, waiting on new starter, the block did not have the dowels for the bellhousing, should have those Wednesday, which is when I go back to work (rig is now w/ BP and @ the Horizon site, we will be running the riser on the next collection effort).

Anyways...

Here we lowered front suspension to prep going in through the top...

Here is Rocky, my buddy's dog... we were fixing to put the motor in the top...

Course, just after this...we figured out the block did not come with the dowels for the bell housing...

This does buy me some time to perhaps get an FAST intake/90mm TB setup...

New break in and track time guessestimate July...should be @ Englishtown. Cartek doing the tuning.
