Depends on how aggressive you tune is now. Safest answer is yes pull a few degrees. I have a fairly aggressive tune from BB and he agreed I would be ok running race gas with a 100 shot. I have ran it 8-10 times down the track without issue.

I would need more information on your setup. You can PM any details your trying to keep quiet.

Compression level timing plugs all those details will matter.

Colder plugs come before a tune in my mind. Like NX said details on the motor will help for sure.

No matter what the motor combo if you are looking at getting the full potential out of the system i'd have it re-tuned. Also i would definately change te plugs and go with something like the BR7EF for the nitrous.

I agree about 95% of the time.

This particular car may want to go ahead to an 8 depending on the compression and octane used. And the tune may not be aggressive enough to require the timing to be pulled down especially if he is running some good gas.

But chances are you correct

You make the most power with the max timing on any given shot of nitrous short of detonation correct. Therefore pulling timing when you can safely run more would not
if you are looking at getting the full potential out of the system I'd have it re-tuned
. Pulling timing would hurt your power output.

The key is to start safe and push till either you are happy or you begin to get detonation.
