Default bet place to mount fuel pump??

Wheres the best place to mount the fuel pump for a rear stand alone fuel system? Trying to do this tonight. Can/Should I keep it in the trunk or mount it outside the car? Closer to the cell the better correct??
Thanks
Mike

Close to the cell and make sure it is lower then the sump.

I would mount it outside of the car therfore less fittings in the trunk to potentialy leak.

That much I can't tell you because I don't have a bird. Away from heat forsure! I know the exhaust is rapped around the spare tire area.
