Oh no, I know our cars only comparable in basic shape and nothing else! I just wanted a low buck, put in 4 gallons of 93 and a fresh bottle and go racing type setup as cheaply as possible. It's fun having $2500 into a mid 11 second car. Although, it does end up costing me about $200 per outing for fuel for the truck, tolls and stuff with the trailer, filling 2 bottles, paying to get in. No hobby is ever cheap!
However, I don't have my dead beat friends asking me for rides in the car... They do whine about going out on the boat! A whole day of tubing, wakeboarding, skiing will kill gas REAL quick. Those dicks will watch me fill the boat with $700 in gas and flip me $20, to chip in. lol. I'm not running a charity on the water.
Thirdly, don't ever get in to boat racing. The big buck boat guys make the big buck car guys look like broke asses.

i jump on shoot to the beach, fire up the grill drink beers and float around like a frog. lol
and yes the boats are big bucks to race, i was thinking of doing up my boat but just decided to leave it be, keep the race car for racing and the boat for having fun
Just thought I'd add to this. Actually went out on my boat Friday. I rarely get to go tubing since I really don't trust anyone to drive my boat, especially with me being dragged behind. Fortunately, my parents were also off last week, and came up to the lake. So, my Dad drove. I forgot how much I hate tubing. It's Tuesday, and I can still barely walk. Pretty sure I need to get the prop re-edged since I only saw 62MPH on the GPS, and the old man managed to run over an errant ski, and 2x6.
I stick to my boat during the summer also. I fire mine up, make the 5 minute boat ride to the party spot, drop anchor and fire up the stereo. I only use 2-3 23gal tanks a year.
SBC, LT1 based. It's a suprisingly light boat with a really good hull design. I've seen 70 by myself, no bimini top, front cover on, with zero chop on a weekday morning.
See, this is what I'm talking about. Broke *** friends with crawlin junk cars.
There is no real "party" spot on my lake. The 'old money' wont allow it. Not to mention that 4 townships have lake rights, so that's 4 different police departments, DNR, County, State, and Water Saftey Patrol. So that's 8 different police agencies on a lake that's 7.5 miles long. Do the math on that one.

That's a party spot if I've ever seen one! Looks about like our spot. Luckily there are no houses around and we can be as loud or as quiet as we want.
Which is good, most folks don't like a full blown concert when on the water like I do.
5,000 watts of real power
