Way cool sir! Must treat the race team pretty good. Also I really liked the SBE setup you have been playing with. Pretty neat I thought.

im sure its simple, cuz it will run up to 220-240 and stay there so to me something just isnt keeping up.
might even just be because im running all water do to track rules.
like i said, i have not touched it and dont plan to until its cool

That's pretty sweet. I need to get some cool stuff like that for my garage since I practically live out there.

Oh, and happy belated birthday to you and Dave both.

I haven't even touched my boat this year. Didn't use it at all last year. Come to think of it... Why do I still have that thing? FS: 2001 Chris Craft Launch 22. lol.

the boat is half the price of racing and 100000000 times more fun. i have not put a dime into my boat besides oil changes, insurance and food and beer!!! i love it!!! i have $100,000 race car that cost atleast $300-$500 a weekend to race and for a total of about 1 minute of fun and hours and hours of wrenching and labor. i have a $30,000 boat that cost about $100 a weekend and i have days of fun at a time floating around like a frog nice and cool in the water, chillin at the beach with all the pretty ladies, instead of soaken wet with sweat in a fire suit checking out all the fat over weight race car drivers. lol

i love racing dont get me wrong and would never give it up. but when its summer. screw that, you'll find me on the boat.

How are you getting off that cheap? I can easily spend $500-700 in gas in a weekend. Add in the $500 a month for the marina, time spent sweating my *** off cleaning it, filling the coolers, currently need to get the prop rebuilt, and my $2500 race car quickly becomes the more appealing option.

500 in fuel, wow. my boat runs me out to the beach and back i use about a 1/4 tanks at most. that cruzing 45-60 mph 1/4 tank is about 15- 20 gal. as for beer and food, i dont count that because i would do the same weather i was on the boat all weekend or at the track then home drinking. so thats a wash. if not cheeper. track food cost 2 times the store.
marina and insurance is $2,000 for the year. my rods in my race motor are 2,000 bucks and are only good for a season. lol

the type of racing and money it cost to run a 12 sec car is a lot less then running my car.
my fuel is $13 a gallon and i use about 2-3 every pass never mind the 2-5 pounds of nitrous, fuel to tow the enclosed trailer loaded with tools. tires every other trip to the track, 8qt oil change after ever 3-5 runs. a lot goes into an 8 sec race car, thats why i tossed a stock motor back in it, try to keep the cost down and the fun up. but in the dead summer i'll take the beach any day.

also, not trying to put you down in any way shape or form, just trying to put into prospective what it cost for me to go racing. if your race car cost 2500 bucks, my roll cage cost almost 2 times that and i had to paint it myself. my pistions and rods are almost $3,000 and thats no other parts. lol
the boat is cheap compared to my race car. trust me

Oh no, I know our cars only comparable in basic shape and nothing else! I just wanted a low buck, put in 4 gallons of 93 and a fresh bottle and go racing type setup as cheaply as possible. It's fun having $2500 into a mid 11 second car. Although, it does end up costing me about $200 per outing for fuel for the truck, tolls and stuff with the trailer, filling 2 bottles, paying to get in. No hobby is ever cheap!

However, I don't have my dead beat friends asking me for rides in the car... They do whine about going out on the boat! A whole day of tubing, wakeboarding, skiing will kill gas REAL quick. Those dicks will watch me fill the boat with $700 in gas and flip me $20, to chip in. lol. I'm not running a charity on the water.

Thirdly, don't ever get in to boat racing. The big buck boat guys make the big buck car guys look like broke asses.
