Default 200 shot actual jetting???

I am trying to find out what jetting is being used with guys hitting their cars with a 200 shot. My jet cart shows 78/46 but I feel sure that the 46 will be too rich, I have talked to a few members and they are thinking around 39-41. This will be through a 78mm plate kit running a Racetronix 255 with Hotwire Kit.
Thanks!
Andy

ps - I am totally aware that every car and setup responds differently and I will be tuning this car using the plugs. Just trying to see what works for others, this will also aid in the purchase of additional jet sizes.

I may be wrong, but a 78 is more like a 250. So if you are wanting that much, I'd start with a 41 and work your way down. Let the plugs tell you what it wants.

We use a 72 like I stated earlier. Dave jets his by flow I'm sure and he gets a 78 to produce 200 worth. Weird to me but it his product. I don't worry about jet size to hp anymore, we just increase the jet and go from there. Hahaha, not something I would reccomend for everybody though.

I understand what you are saying about the 78 vs the 72 but all I have to go on is the cart from Dave. JL had talked to me about something similar with just increasing the jet in increments and going step by step. Maybe I'm kind of hung up right now on the shot size, not really trying to be but I guess in the back of my mind I'm thinking I can safely tune the 200??

Not doubting your word but are you saying that a 78 with my LS1 78mm plate kit is a 250 or just a 78 in general is a 250? (I've never used any n20 calculators, just the kit specifics) I'm not wanting that much, just a 200.

73/ 38 is what i use but every car is different. For the guys who use the 78 jet for nitrous thru the plate , how does it work out for u? Thought 200 was about max?

Our jetting on the fuel side of the plate is a little rich in most cases so you could go down a little on the fuel jetting if needed.

And Dave told me this over this weekend at the shootout. I am running the LTx plate with the 200 jetting 78/46 and it was super rich. It was running 10.0-10.3 during the one run.

I upped the N20 jetting to 82 and it got better 10.7 but that was in the final round. I am going to up the jetting to 84 with the 46 fuel jets and see what it looks like.

Wish there was more time to tune this system at the shootout.

Are you running a A/F gauge in the car during the runs?
