HSW and Nitrous Outlet 90mm plates?
Does anybody know what HP level these plates are good up to and the known jetting for 200,250,300HP level
HSW kit goes to 150HP but i have heard people run 200 shot on this plate.Theres not a max level on there web site.Is there a problem with this plate over 200hp?
Nitrous outlet says 400hp max on there plate.
I have a stand alone and i run 60psi fuel.
Thanks

Our plates are 3/4 thick with a O-ring style gasket machined into the plate. We have 6 nitrous and 6 fuel discharges spraying across the intake throat. Due to our design we are completely saturating the air intake flow path for the best atomization possible.
Our plate can flow up to 400 hp. I only know of a few people that have sprayed that much. I have seen some spray 300 and alot spraying 200-250

Thanks for the info. I already have a HSW plate but if its not design to go over 200HP or recommended not to, then i might have to make a change.
I pmed HSW and waiting for there info
Thanks dave for yours.

I always had the understanding that a plate shouldn't be used for more then 250 due to distribution problems. Maybe I am thinking a nozzle but I thought 250(300 pushing the limits for sure) then it is time for DP.

As you move up in the power range reading the spark plugs become as critical as ever. It's no arguement that at power levels of 300 and more a directport is the best option. But it's not the only option. Our plate was specificaly designed with the higher hp levels in mind. Some people race classes that restrict or penalty direct ports. We put alot if R&D into the flow design and delivery of our plate to give these guys a weapon that could deliver reliable results.

Coming from someone that has more passes reading plugs on a HSW plate over most everyone out there, I can tell you 100% that it flows over 200 very very nicely. The plugs surprise us how well the distribution is.

What jet combo's for 250 and 275 on Dave's plate? Just curious. Haven't been able to get to the track with my 200 setup, but was happy with the dyno numbers. Frost tuned my car with his dual-flash PCM and we adjusted AFR by taking fuel away at the injector instead of stand alone fuel pressure and fuel jetting. Pretty slick setup, imo. Car feels stupid fast on the street, too.

After talking with HSW, they have two different plates, the sudden impact and the brute force. They will only sell the sudden impact separate which they claim is only good to 150. The brute force, which they say will flow 400, can only be purchased with the full kit.
That made my choice easy to go with Nitrous Outlet, since they'll sell me a good plate without having to purchase the whole kit.

What is the max HP you have flowed through your plate? 50-200 hp is a cake walk.. Its that 300 pluss that the product design will start talking to you.

We've put an 87 jet through the plate so far and have a 93 if we need it. I can tell you 100% the plugs all looked very very similar from front to back. Theres a reason I said over 200...

Sweet.. So you have done the 87 but not the 93 yet? Even at 87 you are the only person I know that has used that plate at that power level. How many times have you hit it at that level? Im happy to see you stretching your legs.
If you do not mind me asking what does your fuel system consist of? How bad did you have to spread out the hose lenths between the solenoids to that plate to band aid the lean spike?

we have 3 passes on the big jet, but a pretty small fuel jet and decent amount of timing in it due to the da. Fuel is just a racetronix kit and hotwire off the rail. Nothing special. 18 inch nitrous 8 inch fuel If I can remember correctly. we dont worry about the lean spikes when the converter isnt loaded until almost 5300. we leave at 3400.

Man,
You should be about to the point of pushing that fuel system for everything its worth. You have a cam only motor right? So I am assuming 420 or so on motor?
IF the plate is flowing enough to support up 250 extra hp you should already be seeing a fumble in fuel pressure. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?
As for the lean spike... How bad is it. You still have one with that large of a difference in short hoses?
