Default how much heat can the HSW MicroEdge controller handle?

I'm looking to store mine in my armrest compartment of my C6 corvette, but it gets very warm in there when the car is run hard and the exhaust is hot.

Anyone else store theirs in there? Or somewhere that gets very warm?

I've left my phone in there while at the 1/4 mile track and when I checked it between runs, it had gotten so hot that it turned off and I had to pull out the battery and reinstall it and turn it back on.

That's where I have mine on my C5 Z06. I haven't had any issues.

Mines in the armrest console. Where I live in Texas it often gets over 100 outside. Gets hot enough inside with my black interior to explode a lighter left under the seat. Never had any problems. Now the bottle being over presserized thats another story!!

Got mine in the same spot in the C5 for the past few months & it gets hot in there. I had no issues with the microedge. What I started doing was leaving it wedged open just a little to let the heat out. I have a small flashlight that fits in the spot to keep it open. I just recently pasted up some Lava heat shield above the cat & exhaust pipe area to reflect the heat off. It seems to have brought down the temp at least 20 degrees cooler than it was so no need to prop open the center consele door anymore. ($40. fix).
