The sad part about this is that he's got all the right parts for a decent installation. It's just the execution that is horrible... The only thing I've ever seen that was close was an install on a rental car.

Plus, the pictures of the exploded f-body have been around for years. The video was posted April of 2010. That's two fails in one thread!!! nitrous install fail and LegacyGTBiggie fail.

The best part about that is the fact that the zip ties are around the body of the window switch, too - totally bypassing the convenient mounting holes on the base of the switch. Half-assed x2

looks pretty good to me, and those purge lights are just sick!!! gatta get me a set!!! looks like a custom fabricator did the grill work for him. to me thats a great job. very direct way to the purge as well, keeping the lines as short as possable.

Somethings still manage to amaze me and they are usually the far bounds of human stupidity.

I cant say anything to bad since his rear window had a I LOVE NITRO sticker. (see at 300)
I love me too.. Cant blame him..lol

All joking aside.. I have seen worse installs than this one..... But this one is going to make for a nice second video... His next video will be how to remove a blown up engine from the car.

Ill leave the quality of the install alone.. Just touch on one thing.. Nozzle placement.. BOOM!!!

Would you ever go as far as to hack up a perfectly good ws6 hood just to make a fake video like this one?

I would give him credit where it is due. The wires were in loom for the most part, the window switch (I would put it under the dash) could simply be moved a mounted to the strut tower, and the purge lines need to be re-routed along the back of the hood and secured to the hood(or prefferably shortened and not mounted to the hood), Finlay the nozzle placement could be chosen much better. Those are the things to change. The plate for the noids looks nice, the wires are loomed the purge isn't too bad but he got over zealous making the hole but he knows that. I would grade the install 7 because he just needs a few tweaks and will have a good looking set up.

Maybe I am too lenient but i think you guys are being too harsh.

All I can say is custom. That is the baddest nitrous install I have ever seen LMAO. And I was worried about one of my hard lines being 1/16'' out of square from the rest of my kit. Maybe I worry too much.

Guys maybe you can help me, I have an LS6 intake and wanna do my nozzle like that. Should I just drill a hole in the intake and put some silicone around the threads?

Sadly I have had some pretty awful jobs come to our shop to redo that a speed shop had installed..

This guys install just show lack of experience. Obviously he has not found his way to the great LS1 tech nitrous community for help. Rather than making fun of him someone should chase him down and offer some advice. If he responds like an idiot then treat him like an idiot. He may just need some guidence.

I know when I was a young buck I did some pretty stupid stuff because I did not know any better and I had no one to tell me any different. Back then there was a lot of gray areas when it came to nitrous.
