schrader valve

Default schrader valve

I lost my schrader valve , will I be ok running my car with just the cap on it, or is the schrader valve neccessary?

you will be fine with a METAL cap, but not the plastic one, i would not trust 58psi of gasoline with a plastic dust cap.

I had to use my plastic cap for a day, long enough to get to Wal Mart and get a tire repair kit for bicycles. It worked, but not recommended. Just get one out of your spare tire!

I can say for sure you will be fine with the plastic cap. I've been doing this for a while. It definately won't fall off. As long as you see no leaks it's fine.
