Default need help on a nitrous kit

My car is stock excepted LTs, ORY, CAI, ls6 intake, thats about it i run 12.7s at 109 my buddy is about to spay his tbss and he is going for mid 11s i need to even the playing field what kit do you recommend i am leaning towards nitrous outlet. Think a 125 shot would hit mid 11s?

Thanks Bo,

theoretically speaking its possible.

these cars love nitrous. I have plenty of friends spraying the LSX based cars. but why not go with a cam. I have a medium sized cam, LT's going to a 4 in single outlet, and comp918 springs. and dyno'd 394 rwhp. with that and adding nitrous to that would murder your friend. I never liked spraying on stock cars. doesn't give you the ability to have a random race on the street when another car is instigating.

If you install nitrous Please read some of the post people have made.
If I was you I would install a new fuel pump.
Get the right plugs
Get a good kit, NitrousOutlet or Harris any one of those Guys can help you. MY favorite pic would be Nitrous Outlet and get a plate kit. One thing you need to thing about are you going to build your motor down the road. If so then get a good kit you can use.
You can do a 100 shot all day long. If you want to do a 125 or 150 you need to make sure you take your timing down.
Good luck

I sprayed mine a few times when I get my HSW kit on the other night, 100 shot. I was curious about taking the timing down as well. Car seemed to run damn good, but I'm also curious...

Everybody's setup is different. Some guys can only get ahold of 91 octane in some parts of the country so thats going to play a role in pulling timing. Not saying you can substitute octane for timing.

My car was fine not pulling timing on a 100 shot but I was pulling timing on the 2nd stage. Thats not to say somebody else would be ok either.

Let's put it this way, pulling timing never hurt anything, don't pull it and you risk engine failure.

You were pulling timing on the 2nd stage? I didnt know a higher octane would be that significant but i guess i can see how it would help.

Yes on the 1st stage (100 shot) I wasn't pulling any timing and on the 2nd stage (200 shot) I had the Lingenfelter box pull timing as soon as it was activated.

Ok listen up to be safe I would pull the timing down at least 2 to 4 degrees for a 100 shot. Its not worth burning a motor up. So if you Na TUNE is at 28 degrees pull down to 25. Then run right plugs #7 for a 100 to 150 then I would do #8 for a 200 to be safe some people even run colder. Always run the highest octane in your area pump gas. 91 to 94.
EXTRA TIP:
Then have the car tunned Na to the gas and plugs you are going to run with spray.
