Great Post! For those of you that read this thread you definitely need to read the link as well. Many good posts and if you read things that contradict what you may have learned just look at these guys signatures and see what times they are running.
This post was an eye opener for me:

There is no "ideal" place that the mark should be on the strap. I hear people talk all the time about getting the mark "in the bend". I have seen guys burn their motor down trying to achieve this, all the while not doing what the motor was telling them. The mark needs to be where the motor runs the best, thats it, no other option. I have some motors that like no mark, some half way, some to the bend and some around the bend. As is stated on here all time...every combo is different. Don't be chasing marks, look at mph numbers on et slips.

I actually read this last night on yb, and just a quick ?, do you guys index your plugs? And Im asking the more serious guys in the nitrous with the bigger shots where tune has to be spot on? Not hijacking just wondering

Sounds like you had a great running truck! I guess "to each his own". I have learned how to tune by the fastest guys on tech and this is what works for me and many others. As far as "cost effective or worth the time" I would have to disagree. Yes it is more costly but in order to keep an eye on each cylinder's performance it's the only way. This in turn saves motors and reduces long term costs.

Unless you have a great handle on the tune and or widebands in each hole the plugs are very important. We don't pull every plug every run. on a new setup we will ntil we know what holes are hot and cold etc. then we pull those each run and the others once a race day rotating which one each run. we normally look at 3 plugs per run.
