Question Intake and plate question

Can a 92mm tb and plate work with a 102mm intake?

It wont work at all. The way the fittings exit they are close to hitting intake and leave no clearance to put lines on them. Now if it's a truck plate it will work because the fittings come out the side. I can re-drill a regular car plate and turn it into a truck plate without a problem.

I need to revisit this cause I keep getting mixed answers. A couple places have told me it will work but others are saying no. I don't want to buy the intake and then right after need to buy a fuel rail kit, tb, and new plate.

Listen to Chris @Nitrous Outlet. This subject has been discussed before. If you are going to get a 102 intake just get the 102 plate from Nitrous Outlet and a 102 TB. Sell what ever you have that won't work.

I say its not worth it if you already have a full FAST 92 setup. If you are stepping up in cubes then by all means do it.

Spend the coin you would have wrapped up in it in porting. If it is ported, spend the money somewhere else for better gains.

If it was mine I would go ahead and spend the coin on something to get larger gains. If your trying to squeeze every drop from the combo, well you do what you have to and deal with the cost for those last few ponies.

If you think you will enjoy having the 102 and knowing you left nothing on the table, well , you already have a good layout for what needs to be done.

The car is already a very nice ride.
