stand alone fuel system
1. extra added security
2.You can run a higher octane in it.
3. If your goal is to run a higher shot down the road then get one for sure.
4. Helps keep constant fuel pressure to your fuel noid.
5.You will not lean out your car if you have everything dialed in. as opposed if you run off the fuel rail you run the risk of leaning out that side of the motor by using all the fuel out of that side of the rail.
Hope this helps.
If you decided to pull off your rail for the 150 shot just make sure you have a upgraded fuel pump and good injectors and a GOOD TUNE. You always want to start at a smaller shot and work your way up with nitrous and check plugs.
Ok maybe they have one downside. They are not cheap. There is a lot of product to them and they are very labor intensive.
Here is the core reasons for the stand alone :
1. No need to upgrade the existing fuel system of the car to support the nitrous' fuel requirements.
2. You are able to get more octane in the car by filling the stand alone with high octane gas and still running premium in the cars tank. This will open the tuning window some, help fight of detonation, and allow for more power over just pump gas as the added octane USUALLY will give you the ability to add some timing back.
3. The ability to independently adjust fuel pressure to help dial in tunes razor sharp.
On a 125hp it is not needed. But as you get the itch to add more jet it will become more and more helpful to have. Also even on a 125hp worth the benefits will still be felt.
