Default How To Spray Nitrous Safely Again?

Ok guys, some simple questions. I recently installed a cam, heads, and an ls6 intake manifold on my 2000 TransAm. I sprayed fine when I was only bolt ons. Now that I have added more power without nitrous, what will I need to do? I know a fuel pump is a must. The nitrous kit is a wet plate kit from Harris Speed works. I put down 420hp on the dyno the other day as well as get it tuned without nitrous in the equation. I believe I am going to have to get another dyno tune again while spraying? Basically the only thing I need pointers on is what do I have to intensively check on the dyno machine/tune to be safe? I really only want to spray up to a total shot that would equal 500 horsepower, so a 75 shot would be sufficent for me at this point.

Your A\F will tell you everything you need to know. I wouldnt spray without a A\F gauge hooked up. I'm only spraying 100shot myself but I have a progressive controller that does all the work for me!! Got my kit from Nitrous Outlet with the controller. That bottle never lasts!!!!LOL!!

I do have an a/f gauge. What exactly should I be looking for? Wide open throttle without nitrous?

I keep my A\F at 13 and wide open throttle without nitrous and with spray I keep it at 11.8 or 11.9.

I would put the #7 ngK plugs .gapped@ 35
Make sure you have replaced your fuel pump. I just run a walbro 255
Make sure you retard your timming 2 deg. for every 50 shot to be safe
Check your plugs after the run.
A/F should be around 11.5

You may also want to look into a fuel pressure safety switch if the kit didn't already come with one.

Ask some of the other guys here and they will tell you to throw away the fpss. It causes more headaches than it helps. If you run the microedge from HSW it has lean shutdown if I remember right and that works a little better than a fpss.

I'm unfamiliar with that set up. I use one just for the little bit of extra safety, but my kit was also pieced together.

br7ef plug, pull 4 degrees timing, start with afr in the 11.8-12.2 range, then read the plugs.
