Ls motors are they that much diff on timing
SORRY GUYS.....IAM GOING TO HAVE TO BEAT THIS DEAD HORSE AGAIN ???I ASKED THIS QUESTION ONE OTHER TIME AND WAS SO CONFUSE I JUST DROPED IT....WELL I FIRE MY NEW MOTOR TO DAY AND GOING TEST AND TUNE NEXT WEEK,I HAVE HAD BBC AND SBC AND RUN NOS AND GOT THE HANDLE ON IT BUT,I HAVE HAD LS1 GUYS TELL ME WHEY RUN 32* ON MOTOR AND GUYS SAY THEY RUN 20* ON MOTOR ,NOW THAT ALOT OF DIFFERENCE..... CAN SOMEONE THAT RACES THESE MOTORS TELL ME WHY????IAM RUNNING A CARB LS2 MOTOR WITH 6012 MSD BOX WILL BE SPRAYING 200...THANKS UPFRONT....NO BS PLEASE

They are very timing sensitive compared to traditional sb because of the valve angle and efficient combustion chambers.
Keep the timing low and sneak it back in 1* at a time.

As said you will find LSX series much more timing sensitive. Especially when getting a handle on a new type of motor and any new combo in general you want to stay really conservative on timing.
Are you asking a question just out of curiosity or did you maybe have a combo you would like a little insight on?
