Default Gonna do it

Hello,
I'm not a big poster on the forums but follow regularly. Every year I like to mod my car in some way, and every year i think about nitrous but talk myself out of it with some other mod that i thought i should do first. Well this year is the year. I have compiled a list of what I was looking at purchasing and would like to know if there is anything that I'm missing. I'm looking to make the most reliable and safest system i can. All items are being purchased from Nitrous Outlet.

1. Nitrous Outlet 98-02 F-body Specific Systems

2.Nitrous Outlet Progressive Controller

3.Innovate Wideband DB Red Kit w/LC-1 & O2 sensor

4.NGK BR7EF (2 Steps Colder) ea

5.Lingenfelter Launch Controller

6.Stage 3 4AN Accessory Package
Nitrous Outlet stage 3 accessory package includes the following: automatic bottle heater/billet bottle bracket, Hex to Wing adaptor, luminescent nitrous pressure gauge, fuel pressure safety switch, NHRA fitting, blow down tube, purge kit and life time cleanable nitrous filter.
This accessory package is for EFI applications using a 4 AN main feed line.
Made in the USA!

7.93-2002 F-Body Spare Tire Bottle Mounting Bracket

8.'93-'02 F-Body Ash Tray Switch Panel

9.Racetronix Direct Replacement Fuel Pumps

10.Racetronix Fuel Pump Hotwire Harness

My mods are as follows. 228/230 112 lsa, patriot Ls6 style Stg 2 Heads, Fast 90/90, 42lb injectors, Supermaxx headers, Magna Flow, all bolt ons. Moser 12 bolt w/4.11's, LCA's, drop brackets, SFC's, Adj TA, Adj PHB, Strano/Koni springs, saybar and shock setup.

I'm looking to do a 150 shot, so my question is with my current mods and what im ordering, will this be a safe and reliable setup? or is there any way to improve it? thanks.

Joe

It looks like you've done your research. You might consider doing a NANO setup and ditching the bottle heater if your budget allows it. Also make sure you get a tune on the dyno after you get it all hooked up.

Yeah I may look into a NANO system later on. Its not a budget constraint, I just don't know a whole lot about it yet and would rather start off this way. And will definitely have it tuned before I use it. Thanks for your input.

The accessory package comes with a nitrous pressure gauge. I'm ordering a AFR digital gauge, I didn't think about a fuel pressure gauge, I'll have to look into those, thanks. I can't remember what they are called but I will also need one of those mounts that hold your gauges next to your window. I think they're pillar mounts. But does anyone know where I can get a really good quality one, that blends in perfect?

I think autometer has the best pillar pods

That is the works right there sir. That will have every safety feature we can throw at it with a very reliable and hard hitting system.

If you have any specific questions let me know.

The TR6 is a projected plug where as the BR7EF is a non-projected plug. As for which plug to run using a 100 and/or 150 shot, run a BR7EF.

Only thing different I would do it get a different W/B and get a pillar and put the W/B there along with fuel and nitrous pressure gauges.

If want to do this I would make sure you can still run a reference wire to your tuning software.

Well everythings on order and should hopefully be on its way by now (ordered it Tuesday). Did make a few changes tho. I have fuel rail covers so Dave recommended going with the vette specific kit and removing the additional parts i didnt need, ended up being the same cost as the F-Body. The Lingenfelter timing control is on backorder from the factory so my tuner has a LS1 timing tuner box brand new he sold me for $200, so i'll use that instead. I ended up going with Autometer Ultra-lite A/F wideband and fuel pressure gauges and dual pillar pod along with some new MSD plug wires from WS6 Store.

To have the wideband reading in the datalogging software ( Usually Hptuners or EFIlive) you need a "reference wire" that will run to the cord so that it can read.
