Default 04 Goat, nitrous questions for veterans!

Alright guys I have a feeling I'm going to get bashed for askign this but it was just an idea, and askign questions is better than trying something you dont know **** about and finding out the hard way right? Ive got an 04 GTO, A4, stock EVERYTHING, including exhaust. Plans re LTs, cam, all that good stuff but just looking for the thrill of a LITTLE spray. Would putting nitrous on my cat be ill advised with a stock engine, exhaust, and converter in the trans.? I was only planning on a small shot, and ONLY for weekend fun, and its not like Id even call it a weekend car, its daily driven, and has only seen the track 3-4 times. Dont harass me for a stupid question please! Lol. Thansk guys for the help.

The best thing to do Is call NitrousOutlet talk to Chris and he will set you up with the right nitrous kit for your application.

Feel free to ask whatever questions you have I will help you answer them.

Easy things you need.

#7 Ngk plugs.
I would upgrade the fuel pump.
You need a nitrous Kit.
I would get a progressive controler that has the tps and rpm activation. I have the N20 Outlet one.
Get a good tunner to tune your car and is familiar with nitrous tunning.

People have gotton away with a small shot without tunning but I would not recommend it.

There would be no problems running a 100 shot on the stock tune. I would verify that the tune is stock and then I would not see a problem with a small shot.

Also you could run on the stock fuel pump until you got more internal mods. At that point going to a Racetronix fuel pump and Hotwire would work very well.

A 100 wet shot on a stock LS motor is safe if:
1) You retard the timing 1º for every 25hp you spray. You have to make sure your motor fires before TDC due to the increased explosion in the combustion chamber as a result of adding nitrous oxide to you air fuel mixture.
2) Make sure your spray doesn't come in before wot and 3,000 rpm.

You should be ok on your fuel pressure with a stock fuel pump also.
I have put a 100 shot on a stock LS motor before with no problems.

Happy Motoring..... Jeff
