Default Wiring window swtich

I couldnt really find what i need to know. I am about to purchase a MSD window switch. How do I wire it up? I guess what I mainly need to know is where do i get my tach signal from?? Is it safe to cut the factory wire on the main harness and tap into it? This is for a 02 fbody

This is the one I am thinking about getting

99-02 its the white wire pin 10.. I cut it and spliced in another wire with it then shrink wrapped it. I unhooked the battery.... just because. Then hook up your power and ground and the(i believe) yellow wire provides the ground for the nitrous relay circuit. pretty easy really.. Use 4 cyl mode. I am also using this window switch.

Have you had any problems with your tach jumping after to tapped into the factory harness?

Thats exactly the one I put in my 02 Vette.

BLACK wire to ground, -
RED wire to nitrous arming power, +
YELLOW wire is triggered to ground when in "rpm range", so hook it to the ground side of relay.
WHITE wire to white wire pin 10. I use a quick connect, but I don't see why you can't cut and solidier if necessary.

You can also, put the fuel pressure switch between the yellow wire and the
ground of the relay for added protection.

I did not notice a tach change btw.

no problems with tach.. if you use a quick connect like a scotch lock make sure you take some weathering precautions.. or try and find the white wire inside the car. I didnt feel like tearing my dash apart to find the tach wire so i just did it right off the pcm and ran the wire in through the grommet behind the computer. scotch locks have a way of corroding at the worst possible time exposed to the elements If you can solder then solder it. its more secure and more weather tight. Nothing wrong with either way though if you do it right.
