Obviously who ever is telling you this doesn't want to get beat by you

How much do you plan on spraying?

A good tune and watch your A/F and there is no reason for your engine to grenade.

Zero truth to that.

Do you have a hotwire kit on the car?

Only people who don't know about nitrous tells you that it will blow it up . It's just like any other power adder keep your tune in check and read all the info you can on this forum and have fun .

150 is good on a stock block let alone one that has forged internals. As long as the timing is right you'll have no problems. Timing seems to be by far the biggest killer of motors when dealing with nitrous.

People who spew this ignorance and stupidity have never used nitrous. They also as I stated are ignorant and havn't done any research. It is ok to be ignorant about nitrous and we all were at some point but if you don't know what you are talking about then don't tell people what to do.

Just as an example of endurance of a stock motor, it wasn't an LS but a motor is a motor, I had a 75 dry shot on a 1996 fwd v6 3.1L. I bought the car with 56,500 miles and I installed the kit at 65,000 miles and I ran 2 bottles a week thru the motor. 1 bottle on Wednesday nights at the track and another bottle on Saturday and Sunday on the street races. I did this until I gave the car to my brother at 127,000 miles.

He drove it to college and ran it up to 160,000 miles and he sold it to a friend and he drove it to 197,000 miles and then that guy sold it and we don't know where the car is today. Needless to say I turned that car into a junkie on the bottle and it never gave up on the stock v6 that only made a stock 155 hp which is the equivalent to 150 on a stock ls1.

Nitrous does not blow motors but nitrous in the hands of someone who doesn't know what they are doing blows motors. Tuning is key. If you have a good tuner who knows what he is doing than you should be fine.

Well I will tell you this much. Back in my early days of LS performance and nitrous I had a 150 hit on my T/A. I didn't bother to pull any timing because my "buddy" told me its fine(and I had no clue what the hell I was doing). Well it ran like crazy for about 6 months pushing a 15lb bottle through it about once a week. Eventually it smoked my #7 exhaust valve and piston. But considering it lasted that long without a tune I would say that nitrous with a proper tune can last...a long time...
