The first thing I would do.

1) Do a leak down test on your cyl. to make sure there are no issues witht he compression of your motor. (Just to be safe) if its not your daily driver spry it lol.
2) Read the stickies on how to spray just to make sure you do it right.
3) Replace the stock fuel pump if you havent all readys
4) Get the right tune in the car and the right plugs
5). You can get away with a 100 to a 150 shot. on a stock block with no issue if the tune is right and the right plugs

If you have questions pm me. Or call Chris @ Nitrous Outlet to help you set it up.

Like I said it depends. I had a stock ls1 in my car when I first got it. It made it to 103k lol Then #7 bearing took a dump. Im just saying if you have another car then spray it if this is your daily driver I would be cautious. I would always check the compression before spraying a motor I know no history on. Good luck and Nitrous is fun just make sure you work small shot up to a bigger shot check the plugs.

I have 80k on my '98 stock bottom-end, 100-shot wet, it goes 12.05@ 103 on motor and 10.94@124 on spray. I think I may have a 10.70 in it! They say "its all in the tune".

Pretty easy to do just about any delivery you want as long as you setup the right unit.

Let me know if you have any more specific questions or want to look over your whole setup.

Do a compression test and make sure the engine doesn't burn oil.
The presence of oil into the combustion chambers is a big cause for detonation. Detonation + nitrous = bad

Engine longevity using nitrous will depend on how good was the maintenance and care since new.
100K miles of a well cared engine aren't the same as 100K of a neglected engine.

Use caution, check plugs and use good fuel. Stop if weird noises or strange things happen.
