Default nitrous fuel?

ok guys looking for some friendly advice on fuel to run with nitrous 50hp-175hp

engine late model LS7 427ci 11.7 comp approx 700hp N/A will run on a diet of E85 fed by SV1 carb and magnafuel pro500 pump and a 24 gallon tank

nitrous will prob run from same tank of E85 fed by Holley Blue pump,

my question is will this be ok of should i play it safer and run a seperate tank with another type of fuel ? C16?

Thanks in advance jake

e85 works great with nitrous. I don't think the holley blue will supply enough volume to fuel both your carb and your nitrous. I would run a separate tank and pump up front for your nitrous with e85 in it.

Looks like he is running the Holley blue as a dedicated Nitrous fuel supply and a Magnafuel for the motor...

Start with the 75 shot on E85 and work your way up from there, reading plugs etc as you go. The C16 is definitely a safety factor but of course it adds a little complexity to the setup and costs much more per gallon. But since you aren't planning on spraying bigger than a 175 shot, E85 will probably be fine, assuming the tune-up is good to go. But what the hell do I know? Go with your gut, it's your car and your money!

It will work fine.
However you'll need a bigger fuel jet for the same HP, because jet sizes for each power level are for gasoline.

Hey Jake,

That setup will work just fine. The only change need to be made is to just the plate according to low pressure e85.

e85 has a different look on the plug. Me and Dave can go over this with you once we get the plate plugged.

I thouhgt E85 was in the 98-105 range as compaired to gas depending on blend and test. On 700hp + 175 id want at least 110 . I gues it will be fine but if you have a 2nd tank why not run some e100(in the 108-115 range) or something to help that?
