Default fuel pressure regulator ?

I am trying to peice together a stand alone fuel system for a direct port kit. I do not have 800 bucks to buy one already made. So im throwing one together. My ? is when looking for a fuel pressure regulator what PSI should i look for? 4.5-9/5-10/5-12 ect ect. And what should it be set at for a 200 shot? Thanks for your help?

Flowing psi is going to depend on your jetting.... You can go with a holly blue pump and reg for like 130ish

Here is a ruff sketch what i am assuming how a stand alone is plumbed. The fuel cell i am useing is a 3 gal aluminum. It has a -8 an outlet,-8 an return, and a -8 an vent. I am assuming i do not use the return line correct? Also on the other side of the fuel regulator is where i switch over to a -6 an fitting to hook into nitrous solenoid.

No return is called a dead headed system...and will be fine.

As for your fuel pressure regulator, 4.5-9 will be fine (lower pressure uses bigger jet)

One thing I would add is a low fuel pressure cut-off switch (incase the cell goes empty or the pump sucks air)...basic safety

Awsome advise. But what should my MAX and MIN psi be on the cut-off switch?

I "think" they're pre-set to 5psi ? There may be an adjustable one out there ???

Drop Graham a PM...I'm sure he has what you'll need.

You only need a MIN. It really just depends on the pressure you want to run. I would start at around 10 psi and have the FPSS set at around 7-8psi

They all come adjustable. The way the come as far as PSI setting can vary a little. I would at least verify the setting before ever installing one.

Thanks btw for the referral!
