Default Turning on Nitrous in mid run?

I have a NX kit with a Mallory 685 box that I use for my window and to pull time. What I'd like to know is can I turn it on part way through a 1/4 mile run with all 3 parameters( WOT, over 3000 RPM, and FPSS) already met and it still pull the time and not hurt anything? The reason I ask is that I cant use it in 1st gear the car just spins off the line even with DR. I want to snap the switch on after I shift into 2nd gear, My switches are mounted in the ashtray (HSW plate).

Thanks

I would add a button to the setup. Make it where all the parameters must be met and the button depressed. This will keep it safe and add the adjust ability you are looking for.

Something on the steering wheel that has to be held? I don't usually race the car it's a once a year thing for me to go to the track and see what it will do.

You use a button on the shifter or the steering wheel, anything you can reach while shifting.

I've been thinking about this, and why not a switch in series with the FPSS? Then I can arm the system and then turn that switch on after I shift into 2nd.

It does not matter where you run it in line. Any of it will stop the system from spraying.
