In search of suggestions for Nitrous tuning
I Pm'd Carter01 in hopes of some guidance and I have spoke to Graham of Nitrous Outlet. Carter01 has yet to respond but hope he has time and a williness to help me.
I am going to the track Sat/Sunday this week to do some tuning based on the plugs. I have a wideband and Hp Tuners but want to check everything via plugs and try for a 9s slip later in the FALL. Just trying to take my time and get it right by then.
I had the car tuned @ SPEED INC by Jim on their dyno last week.
My setup is in the siggy.
Plugs were Br9efs
We tuned non nitrous with 25 degrees of timing @ 1.36 g/cyl 100 octane
On the nitrous/nano tune we used a 78/35 pill and had 11.1 AFR with timing of 19 degrees 1.36 g/cyl 100 octane in tank and cell.
I have HP tuners pro suite so I can log and tune.
I know the strip vs dyno tuning are 2 different worlds.
I plan to do the fresh plugs and pull them in the return lane, and then post them for guidance.
Any suggestions on how a seasoned nitrous racer would go about this task?
Graham has given me his suggestions, just looking for other thoughts on the process.
TIA

Boost + N20 = alot of fun and probably a little different tuning method.
My suggestion would be to not start with a 78n jet.(225-250 shot)
Maybe start with 63 (150 shot) and work your way up making 1/8th mile passes.
Good luck, Awesome car.

I also asked him to thank you for me!
Appreciate everything you guys have done for me.
I got some sound advice from Carter01 and ATVracr today. Start with a lesser shot & tune for fuel, then timing.
I'll post some plug photos this weekend.
