Who has blown up on nitrous?
I know all the precautions So please don't turn this into a "do this to run nitrous" thread. It isn't my first time on nitrous just a little anxious to squeeze my daily driver.
My question is who has, or knows someone, who blew up on nitrous?
Im the kind of person that'll hear something or see a little smoke and be like..oh god i broke a ring
I will never run nitrous unless I have a specific tune for nitrous.

I just want to take the Tahoe to the track before I get it tuned. I gained .7 in the 1/4 on my other truck and wanted to document the gains on this one. I a not going to do much if anything else so no reason to spray it.
Still curious how many people have or directly know someone else.

I know I'm older then most of you, been to the track more then most also.
I have broke a few times on N2O, I also know I'm in a totally different class so it's not the same, never anything catastrophic,
knock on wood, but I have seen probably 30-40 guys hurt a daily driver.
A few pistons, a few intakes, valve train etc.
Most could not drive home, and some limped home before dying.
Like any other type of gambling, only bet what you can afford.
Good luck and I truly hope for the best if you do spray.

And this is my daily driver during the summer.
I got greedy one night and put in the 100 shot pills and didn't change the fuel jet that went to the fuel pressure regulator for the dry shot. Went to the track and it went BOOM! Limped it home and it took a chunk out of one of the intake valves and melted all six plugs. I don't know how it was still running. I had a junk motor at the shop and took the heads off it and replaced my heads and backed it down to a 75 shot and kept it like that until I got rid of the car.
I upped the shot trying to get a 14.99 time slip like you and ended up hurting my motor but not too seriously. It ran consistent 15.00.
Even through all this I say DO IT! You only live once and the stories you can tell about it when you are older.
You know it can take 125 all day long, just don't try to be greedy and put a 225 shot on it or something.
I am going with a guy in a mustang that will already be slower then he is planning. It should run mid 13s but he isn't a very good driver so it might not do that well.
I have a set of rules to play by. If I don't have the title in hand and have the cash to fix what may brake, in this case a engine I wouldn't risk it.
