Bottle is theirs, no lease payment, but I did have to leave a $250 deposit.
I prefer it like that, so you don't have to wait while they fill your specific bottle.
No tax, and so far I got 59 lbs out of the 65, but it was hard as hell to fill last week when it's this low.

At my place you have to trade the bottles in. They don't actually refill "yours." Do any of you guys use a pump? I use the freezer

I'm too cheap, I freeze mine also, and when the mother bottle gets low, I wrap a heating pad around the bottom,
which is at the top, to help push out the heavier nitrous??
Seems to work, and as long as you don't forget and leave, you should be good to go??

If I ever do go with a 3rd stage, it will be inside the tunnel ram, and be 100 HP and it will be on an OH **** button,
for emergency use, not as a part of normal use.
Some guys are just going crazy using 3-4 stages on every pass.
My plan is to use the minimum amount needed to qualify for the event I'm at.
I would rather be the slowest guy there, then beat the crap out of my parts trying to be #1.

I actually used an automatic heating system for years until 2 weeks ago.
I built a bottle bath and it was amazing.
It warms the bottles and heat soaks the interior, instead of flash heating like the pad's do.
My carbon fiber bottles stayed at pressure 3 times longer at least, and when there was an oil down,
I flipped on the in car warmer and it actually only took a minute to stay at pressure.

I'm going to build a taller one this winter for 15 lb bottles.

I'm going to say now, anyone that is a serious nitrous user and needs to know his number needs one or the other.
I picked water bath because I spray between 300-800 HP and use 2 bottles.

To get my mother bottles here locally, its $110 including sales tax and some nitrous surcharge for a 75 lb bottle. I also use a filling station in my trailer so I can easily fill the bottles at the track or at home in a hurry.

I also use a water bath, and thats the ONLY way to go at the track. I also keep big pad heaters on the bottles when in the car so that way we can make sure we have the proper pressure no matter what the temp outside.

As for jets in my two stage dry setup, somewhere between 22 and 31. It does OK for moving a 3300 lb car down the track

Does that include the bottle also?

Even if it's not a big tune up, still interested to hear what people are running. I'm pretty well done running my car for the year and I'm already bored and having withdrawals. It's only been 4 days!

They just added 10* to this W/E's weather report, so I might try to go again??
It was supposed to be 52 now they are saying in the 60's??
I definitely didn't expect anymore 60+ W/E's so I really want to take it out again before the new combination goes in next year.
It would be nice to get a few things figured out.

It's still good in the day here, but getting into the upper 40s after dark and the tracks get bad. I may get out one more weekend this month sometime, but kinda doubt it. T&T I could do, but I would rather race and the races run into the night. The car runs 4.80s with my smallest jets (18/22s) with 1.04-1.06 60's. Always goes right down the track but why take any chances racing at night in the 40s? Some dragster guys say they are spinning a little in those conditions. It would be worse in a door car. So that's why I'm probably done.

Same here, if they didn't run 9-5 I wouldn't go either. Stuff happens way too quick on a slick track.
I'm at 1.06 on one stage, and I'm having issues all of a sudden??
Aborted 6 runs in a row, and would like to get down the track one more time.
Didn't run much this year, but it went right down the track all year until now??
We pack it up by 3, so we can get packed up and on the road before it's too late.

I guess I was under the impression it was 70 all winter down there??

It is in the 60s-70s a lot of the time, but not at night. Still gets to the 30s-40s at night time.

The car used to go straight running the same tune up? You need to find out what changed if so. It may or may not have anything to do with it but it picks the front end up too high IMO. That won't help matters.

Exactly, the big wheelie is what changed??
Other then better DA, colder racing surface and my crew chief playing with slick PSI,
all of a sudden it's moving around way too much about 300' out.
It's actually up in the air right now and I'll be crawling all over it today trying to find any issues??
I've even lowered the wheelie bars twice, and it's hitting them hard!!

It's always something, and I already did more then I thought with this engine,
so I'm happy no matter if we make it out again or not, but a 1.05 would be sweet!!

How old are the tires? When I first got my car it had been sitting a few years and it had old tires. Not worn out, just old. With those tires it would hook on the starting line but be all over the place down track. Got some new tires and it's been straight and easy ever since.

Something else had to of changed if your car didn't hang the front end like that before and it does now.

Here is a burst mode of mine on a 1.02 60'

Well the wheelie bars are pretty tweaked.
Crawled under there and was spinning them and they are definitely bent pretty good.
So that might be part of why it's coming up higher?? flexing more then usual??
I also adjusted the struts, but I'm already pretty tight, so I could only go one flat.

I'm going to lower the bars some more, and hook up the shifter, so I can drive 2 handed.
I have some smart *** friends saying I'm over driving?? which after 29 years, I HIGHLY doubt it!!

I always bring my video camera, but I haven't had the help to have someone take any video's??
Maybe I'll get lucky this time and will have an extra guy??

Just found out they are expecting a 30 MPH head wind??
Oh well, at least it'll stop quicker!!

Yea that video guy is terrible, thought I was going to puke??
