damn, I am running the .082 jet in a single spray bar plate from Nitrous Pro Flow. 46 on the fuel side. running q16 fuel. 8.85 at 153 5.705 at 125 in the 1/8 with the 6 speed.

I dont know what size shot you want to call it, but it feels pretty nice to me! I couldn't even imagine a hit with twice the power! and I think my poor wiseco's in my stock 6.0L block wouldn't be very happy! LOL

Hey, you're doing great for your level. You definitely should be happy, you're doing something right!!!
I spray a lot to try and qualify, or I wouldn't run so hard.
When guys have 700 & 800 inches, and you have 500" you have no choice!!
Some of the guys in my class make more HP then I do before they even spray.
I also would never spray 700-800 if I didn't have the rods I do, not worth the risk without good parts.

When I was just having fun & bracket racing I sprayed 150 and that was it,
no matter how many times friends said spray more, spray more!!

I actually got some video's from Byron, but my stupid computer program keeps crashing??
It was weird, with a 30 mph plus head wind, I had slower mph (a lot) & 60' (a little) as expected,
but had a quicker then usual ET?? So without the wind, I bet I would have been flying??

So if I can get that fixed, Ill post them.

I'm running a 200 shot on a plate right now on a forged 383 ls1 with stock 853 casting heads about (10.5:1 comp) on 93 octane and having no problems. I'm about to put a set of ported 241's that will bump me to about 11.5:1 comp. Do you guys think I'll still be safe to spray 200 on 93, or should I back down to a 150 to be safe? Also I have a direct port that I spray 300 on with 110 in the stand alone fuel system and think of going to 400 once I put the heads on. I'll be hoping for deep 9's with a 3600 race weight and a 6spd on drag radials.

I put some bigger jets in it last week on a test day. With 36s it went 7.27 at 190mph with a pretty shitty 1.07 60'. The track was just a little greasy I guess. I put some 40s in later and picked up 3mph and cut off 3 tenths in the 1/8 then the 1/4 clocks malfunctioned and I didn't get 1/4 numbers. Would have probably been 193+. I'm pretty happy with that for what my motor is and being on 1 system.

Knocking on 6's with a 565" is pretty damn cool!!!
I didn't think I could do it with my old junk so I dumped the N2O!!

What heads and compression is this monster running??

It's already been in the 6s before when my buddy had it. 6.90 at 194. It had plates and a fogger at the time. I got rid of the plates and added a second fogger so it would run happier and be easier to tune. I have not put the second system on yet though. The original fogger was down low in the runners and I moved it up high with some new bungs. Replumbed it and Jeff Prock at Applied Nitrous Technology cut the tips off the original NOS A nozzles to make them annular. The second system will be in the lower bungs where the original one was. It will have the "B" type NOS nozzles that spray 90*.

The motor is 14:1. 4.610 bore x 4.250 stroke. Brodix BB2 Xtra CNC heads and a cast Dart tunnel ram intake. Nothing trick, it just runs good and the car works good. Race weight is 2,520.

Here you can see the original fogger's bungs down low, and the new ones up high.

Here's a pic of the motor as it sits with 1 system

That's damn near what I was doing before I bought the blown, injected alcohol combination.

I was going with a BB-2, 4.510 x 4.375, Edelbrock tunnel ram, and a 3 stage Monte Smith N2O system.
The top foggers for the 1st stage so they launched harder, and a 100 HP plate system on a "OH ****" button.
I'm at 2600 lbs, but I'm fat!!

You are definitely doing something right, especially with a conventional head and kicking some Big Chief guys ***' I know.

I added a second fogger to the motor last week and took the car out to a local quick 8. I had 40s in the first system and 26s in the second system and ran a 4.48. Next run I put some 32s in the second system and it went a 4.45 at 159.52mph. I took too much timing out of it and was going to make a couple minor changes (not jetting) that I could almost guarantee would have picked it up to a 4.43 in first round, but the whole race was called due to a severe oil down. Going to another quick 8 and Thompson Raceway Park and going to try it again. For a 565 cubic inch, conventional headed engine I couldn't be more happy. 4.45 equates to high 6.80s/low 6.90s in the 1/4 mile. I would call this a big tune up... about 900hp worth of nitrous

40's + 32's = DAMN !!!

Nice hits, I would think the jump from 26 to 32 would pick up more then I read where you still have work to do on that tune up.... Good luck that thing is flying.

Thanks Wayne. I think it will go a .43 with these same jets. I took too much timing out of it for sure... it had carbon coming up the ground strap from where it's welded to the plug body. No heat in it. I also got a little loose on the top end that pass and that may have killed some mph but probably not much ET. Going to try going up on tire pressure too, it was chattering a little.

I'm super happy with the thing anyway. That was my first time running two systems and I was expecting a 4.55 or so with the 26s and it went a .48 so I was ecstatic after that first pass. I can't wait till this weekend to try the small changes. I probably won't try bigger jets unless I get this tune up pretty close first. It's running on C16 and raceweight is 2,520.

7.80s with a LSX and small tires is no joke either! That's bad ***.

Wish we had the cash to play with a pro-mod or O10.5 big block nitrous setup. One day...
