9:1 Compression and Nitrous ???

9:1 Compression and Nitrous ??? I realize a lower CR will help with detonation issues. I will run a drirect port nitrous setup. Want to know what affect the lower compression ratio will have on performance. Anyone got input?

Re: 9:1 Compression and Nitrous ??? Sorry, I was at school. You can run 9:1 if you want, you dont need to though. With the extra room you won't have to worry about cylinder pressure, but you won't end up making as much power as with 11:1. What are your cam specs? I'd call Nick and see what he thinks about changing pistons and putting in a 110-112lsa cam.

Re: 9:1 Compression and Nitrous ??? Dude, these pistons are like two weeks old, and I'm not buying another set until these are destroyed! Anyway, I am swapping in a nitrous friendly cam (221/227 .561/.569 114). These are the specs, if not very close from memory.

Re: 9:1 Compression and Nitrous ??? crap?? with the tight lobe you can run high compression and lots of nitrous with less worry about cylinder pressure. youll be fine with your motor and grind. just spray 200+ and hold on <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
