Bottle heater help...
I just installed a NOS bottle heater and I can't get the heater to work...
I have power to the switch and relay but the heater after an hour of being on isn't heating the bottle at all..The relay is working because when I turn the switch on, the relay kicks in
I checked my grounds to make sure they are good and this morning I'm going to ohm the heater to make sure its good. I ohm'd the thermostat yesterday before I put it on the bottle to make sure it was good..
I didn't run the orange wire (constant hot wire) to the battery but did hook it to a circuit that could handle it..It it nessasary to run this wire to the battery itself ??
Any help would be appreciated....

Is this wire that you have run a constant hot? Or is it keyed with the ignition.
You should have a large gage wire running from the battery (or constant hot) to the relay contacts and on to the heater.

Where did you run it to?

had mine hooked to the power on the fuse panel. did not work. hooked it straight to the battery with no other changes, works like a charm. i'm gonna say must be hooked directly to the battery.
