5.3 setup to the 9's
Putting together a foxbody setup and wondering if my goal of running 9's or high 130 low 140 traps is plausible.
Lm7
wiesco pistons and eagle rods
MS3 Cam and patriot gold springs
stock heads
holley 750
victor jr./ msd6010
200-250shot plate system
backed by a tbraked glide, 8.8 with 3.27's and 27x10.5 et streets
Thanks,
Ben

I think 9s are a bit ambitious for a basic motor. You should have solid 10s but not sure 250 of nitrous and a cam is going to get you 9s. Obviously there are a lot of factors such as compression, if you bore it at all.
Not saying you can't but I would look into a more aggressive motor, i.e. 6.0, making it a 383, or something.

Awsome so its sounding plausible for sure on the e.t. any idea if my mph goals a plausible? to tell you the truth mph is more important to me. hoping to be in the 135+ range. hopefully closer to 140's

Converter effeciency will affect mph, that is why I recommend you go with a good converter built for your combo. I would say that you can trap high 130's or more just depending on a lot of factors, vehicle weight, aerodynamics, converter effeciancy , size of nitrous shot, gear, etc etc. With what you are doing as far as the combo and if you match it all together correctly, get the tuneup right and hook the car you should definitely get fairly deep in the 9's on probably a 225 shot and trap somewhere between 135 -140 I would think as possible. I would definitelt when you get it all together come back in here and ask all the nitrous gurus tuning advice for the kit. That will go a long way in making your engine stay together and achieving your goals. Good luck

X2 also a big factor. That motor can make X amount of horse power with what ever the **** thats in it granted some parts are better for your app and will get you from a to b faster but getting it to the ground is key. A correctly working chassis is key in my mind. Take a look at ADRL cars they all make stupid snot as far as horse power but sometimes they can't even pull second gear.. but when they do and the chassis, clutch, converter is set up right hold the **** on. Obviously you don't have a chassis car nor the technology they have but a fox is a factory 4 link car if you think about it. Set the car up right and you can see your number without custom ****
