Default Superchager, TT's or N2O for a daily driver?

Let me start off by saying that I'd rather not have nitrous. I already went that route and want something else if possible. That being said, I amd probably going to have a 422 with some sort of power adder and want to know what will be the most reliable. Thanks.

I personaly would go with TT's. As long as you keep you foot our of it and keep it out of the boost you would never know they are there. I plan on doing TT's in the future on my daily driver and from everything that I'v read and the people that I have talked to that have TT's they say that the car drives like stock until the boost comes in and then after that its on. A supercharger has all the time boost and drags on the motor as well and thats the main reason I wouldn't go with a supercharger.

I don't want to have to be messing with it all the time too and worrying about a boost spike or anything that might blow my engine. How often does something like that happen?

Supercharger.
Turbo is cool, but I know from experience that a SC is a blast!

I ran a supercharger for 2 years. It ran great, but couldn't keep my foot off the floor.I did have some problems like fuel pump failure and missfire that blew head gaskets.
The way I see it I would never run a blower or TT again because there is always a possibility that a problem can arrise and take a head gasket.
I've been running N2O for a while now and I'm very happy with it.I drive 200 miles a day without a worry of damaging anything. Then when the need arrises, hit the remote opener and play.

I think the turbo thing is great, but a supercharger good too. My question for you is, With a 422, would you need the additional low end power? Whatever you choose, it will definately be fun. I would go with the S/C just for the added control of when the power comes in.
Good luck,
Jeff

I'd have to say spray. You turn it on when you need it and it doesn't put a constant strain on the motor like the TT or SC do.

Um, not necessarily. Someone could have blown up 2 engines with a turbo but ran 9's on it and they could say, "I went 9's with TT's. Get that." Well I don't care if you went 9's if you blew up two motors. Or, "I've got a supercharger. It's cool; get one." That doesn't help any.

I'd add concerns regarding

1. How much does it cost? ($ per HP)
2. How much maintenance? Refilling the bottle every week gets to be a drag. A twin turbo setup is more than a little complex.
3. Can you pass emissions inspection? I don't know if that's an issue for you, but here in sunny California, it is...A stealth nitrous system would be a no-brainer here...
4. Is it suitable for a daily driver? Having to put up with the warble of a gear-driven supercharger might be too much, or imperfect boost control when you have to drive on wet ground could make things unpleasant.

Dude... have you bothered to go to the link in my sig? It's there for people wanting to see expereinces with my SC. ... and it hasn't "blown up". The "I've got a supercharger. It's cool; get one." comment is a prelude to all that info I have put on a site JUST for guys who REALLY want my expriences with the SC.

As for the PSI getting to high issue, don't some turbos come with an adjustable waste gate?
