Default Is a TP Extreme 4400 to much stall for a TNT 150 shot?

I plan on buying this converter and sticking the bottle on the car come spring, Mike at Yank says its a great converter for both, but I really want to be sure.

Thanks, Eric

the extreme 4400? i would think that is way too much. i can see the PYE3400 being a good convertor and that's what i'm goign to get for my turbo motor. if it really is the 4400, in my opinion that is way too much. a guy just had a tp4400 or a similiar convertor and it was way too much for the nos, and his resutls showed it.

I ran 12.2 @ 110 without the bottle on my TP 4500 and with a 100 shot I only managed 11.8 @ 115. I really felt the nitrous in 1st gear but I couldnt feel it in 2nd and 3rd. I should be running low 11s @ 120+. I had my window switch at 3000-6000.

I'm pretty sure its because of my converter. Good luck and keep us posted on how you do.

Same here...a friend installed my old tp4400 in his car. Went a 12.0 @ 111mph in 100 degree+ heat on motor, with 100 shot only went 11.7. Car ran 11.1's-11.2's on stock convertor/100shot Tp4400+NOS = no good!

4400 is way to high for a N20 motor. Stick with the PY3400E or PY3600E for a jucied ride.

That is my car chris is talking about. That convertor is to lose for a bottle IMO. Unless you like blowing 2.66/lb worth of nos through the motor with barley any results. I only gained a few 10ths in the 1/4 on a 125 shot. Went from 12.0 to 11.70. On stock convertor and spray; I went from 12.3 to 11.5 on single stage. So if my fuzzy math is correct the tp4400 said no thanks and blew the NOS right on through the car.

Way to loose! To run as fast as possible with spray its always best to have a tight convertor. The stall speed will increase when you flash the covertor with the spray so if you start loose it will get even looser. If you have a 3500 stall speed and flash it with spray (100hp) it will go 4500 or more. So unless you have say a 7500 rpm motor its way to big to run profitient on the bottle. Happy Nitrousing

N2o guy, Is right about the converters.. I was running a TNT 250 shot and tried four different PI converters with my set up.. #0 #6 # 7 #8.. I ran 3.42 gears for strenght and to be able to run 130 mph plus.. For my set up with heads and cam the #0 and number #6 were my favorite but the stall would go WAY up under 600 plus RWHP and only god knows how much torque.. Stay tighter if you plan to favor nitrous..
